DAZ Studio 3.0

  • DAZ Studio 3.0 Feature Information and Description :

  • Improved Render Engine
DAZ Studio is now compatible with version 8.5 of the powerful 3Delight render engine. Improved performance and memory management reduce render times and handle heavy, complex scenes like never before.
  • aniMate Lite (free) 1
aniMate Lite takes a "building block" approach to animation. Pre-created animations are broken down into portable and editable chunks (aniBlocks) that can be arranged together into complete animation sequences. You can create complex animations by dragging and stacking aniBlocks into a timeline. You can then re-arrange, add, or delete the aniBlocks until the sequence is just right. You can also crop, split or combine aniBlocks to create a completely new effect or aniBlock.
  • Render Album (free) 2
The DAZ Studio Render Album provides a means of storing recent image renders in an album format which can then be loaded into the Render Editor to perform various editing functions on the image. The editor provides options for blending two images, color adjustment, image comparison, and applying filters without having to open a separate paint program.
  • Figure Mixer (paid for) 3
Users can load similar generation figures and create new blended figures.
Mixed figures can be blended via dials/sliders as a percentage of each figure loaded.
Figures can be frozen, and users can create a new cr2 (via cr2 Exporter) file to eliminate the overhead of opening multiple mixed figures.
Users can save a scene file and open the mixed figure (this can be very cpu intensive)
  • amusant ! essayer de mixer V4 et M4
  • Map Transfer (paid for) 4
The Map Transfer tool is used to transfer maps from one figure to another, if the figures have the same number of vertices, etc., for example, Victoria 4 and Michael 4. This allows you to convert a V4 texture to one that either M4 can use or V4 with the M4 UV Set applied.
  • intéressant pour créer UVS et Template
  • Morph Follower (paid for) menu contextuel du vêtement d'une figure 5
This feature allows you to add support for new figures in old clothing. For example, suppose you have Michael 4 fitting nicely into a suit, but want to dial in "the Freak 4" body morph. If the suit wasn't created with necessary supporting morph targets, then it will not fit around "the Freak 4" morph. But if you use Morph Follower, then the suit can be updated with new morphs automatically fit the unsupported shape.
  • intéressant pour adapter le vêtement - ou les chaussures - d'un personnage sur un autre
  • Shader Baker (paid for) onglet supplémentaire pour les surfaces 6
The Shader Baker makes it possible to bake many of the properties of a shader down to a texture map. While the results will not always look exactly like the original shader, this feature will allow you to roughly see what the content will look like in its final render. If the baked textures are good enough, they can also be exported for use in other applications, such as for games, with no visible loss in quality.
  • ajoute un "coup de chaud" aux textures
  • Shader Builder (paid for) 7
Shader Builder is built for advanced artists who need a deeper level of control and want to create shaders from scratch. By visually connecting predefined blocks (which coincide with the RenderMan® Interface Specification) and/or custom function/macro blocks that you can build yourself, shader developers can construct custom shaders that take advantage of what the shading language and a RenderMan compliant rendering engine have to offer.
Shader Builder puts an interface around a process that is otherwise manually intensive, so those who are currently creating shaders will find this much easier and faster to get the results they want.
  • outil professionnel destiné aux développeurs
  • Shader Mixer (paid for) 8
Develop your own custom shaders by combining shader building blocks, or "bricks". Shader Mixer allows you to create custom lights, cameras, and surfaces using pre-defined bricks that you combine within a simple node network. Over 90 different bricks are provided including a range of basic bricks such as displacement, diffuse color, noise, random, lighting models, as well as many advanced bricks, such as caustics, occlusion, final gathering, sub-surface scattering, and area lights.

  • DAZ COLLADA Import/Export (free)
Addition of a DAZ COLLADA import/export option which includes specific information about the scene which provides a more accurate exchange of scenes between DAZ Studio and Carrara.
